Growing up, I was that shy nerdy kid who only wanted to play video games, work on computers, listen to music and break apart things to see how they worked. Then one day my dad showed me how to take photos on his old Minolta X700 MPS camera (which he still has to this day) and I immediately fell in love with photography. Not long after my mom got our family's first camcorder and I was running around the house and neighborhood pretending I was Steve Irwin filming anything that looked interesting to me, even narrating the scene just like Irwin did. I didn't know it at the time but taking photos and video of precious moments of family gatherings would soon become one of my all-time favorite things to do. I put down the camera for a while to focus on school which I had absolutely no interest in but did it so I could make my parents proud and get that little piece of paper so many hold value to. It really wasn't until college I picked the camera backup as a Broadcast Journalism Major. This is where my love of photography and videography was reignited. Being able to use the camera setups having access to the college studios allowed that fire to grow within me. After college I worked in Radio a while and eventually became our "Social Media Guy" taking photos and video of highlights at events. After a few years in Radio, I worked in the music industry in LA for a bit working for a Pop Producer. He eventually started a YouTube channel teaching people how to mix and asked me to film and edit for him. That opened up a rabbit hole of possibilities. It wasn't long after I started filming for other labels and bands in the music scene and then corporate videos in Southern California. That's when I turned my love of photo and video into my full time job. Cozy Wedding Films was named for one of the MANY nicknames I had in high school but also the feeling that I would always get reliving those memories that were captured on camera...
